Right of access

Registration and right to access (mandatory)

Users and workers at the Mista camp who wish to fish in the Tshitassinu – La Romaine sector must obtain a right of access free of charge and record their fishing activities on the catch record card even if no fish has been caught. This measure is intended to get the fishing effort.

GENERAL RULES:

• A right of access per person; 
• A right of access is valid for 3 days;
• A right of access is applicable to a maximum of 3 water bodies.

 

 

Get your right of access at the following locations:

• Information office or booth registration at the Mista camp; 
• information office or booth registration on 983 Boliva St. at Havre-Saint-Pierre.

Before you go fishing:

• fill out the Right of access portion (white copy);
• return the white copy of the right of access to the staff of the Société Tshitassinu;  
or
• drop the white copy of the right of access into the box provided for that purpose at one of the registration booths.

During your activity:

• respect the dates and locations listed on your right of access;
• have on hand your fishing license and the yellow copy of your right of access.

After your fishing trip (no later than 48 hours after):

• Fill out and return the Fishing log book portion (back of the pink copy of the right of access) to the staff of the Société Tshitassinu; 
or
• fill out and drop the Registre des activités de pêche portion (back of the pink copy of the right of access) in the box provided for that purpose at one of the registration booths.

Self-registering 

During winter, in the absence of an agent at the information office, get a right of access at the following registration booths:

• at 983 Boliva St., Havre-Saint-Pierre;
• at the Mista camp (for workers).

Before you go fishing:

• fill out the Right of access portion (white copy);
• drop the white copy of the right of access into the box provided for that purpose at one of the registration booths.

During your activity:

• respect the dates and locations listed on your right of access;
• have on hand your fishing license and the yellow copy of your right of access.

After your fishing trip (no later than 48 hours after):

• weigh the fishes taken;
• Fill out the Fishing log book portion (back of the pink copy of the right of access)
• drop the Déclaration des activités de pêche portion (back of the pink copy of the right of access) in the box provided for that purpose at one of the registration booths.
